RMT Funding

Quartet Of Nations - Region 31 (UK)

To continue the amazing journey that Region 31 are currently experiencing and to keep the on going strategy for improvement as a region it has been agreed by the RMT to offer a small amount of funding to individuals who may meet the criteria set out in the application form (downloadable at the bottom of this page).

Sweet Adelines International Region 31 Management Team intends to offer funding to individuals who meet the criteria set out below. To finance the funding programme money will be set aside each year from the region’s profits. The amount of money set aside will depend on the previous year’s annual accounts.

The RMT will meet regularly to consider requests for individual funding and resource assistance. At present the funding is not intended for quartets or choruses. Our Finance Coordinator will work closely with individuals to ensure that the RMT takes its responsibilities to the Region seriously, endeavouring to support and assist projects and individual activities that will:

  • Benefit and develop the region by facilitating projects aimed at improving education
  • Promote the art of Barbershop singing
  • Progress and improve the growth and development of the Region
  • Utilise and share some of the skills and knowledge of our mentors

Consideration will be given to:

  • Directors wishing to attend Directors’ College
  • Directors of lower scoring choruses wishing to attend educational events which include specific classes for Directors
  • Individuals whose applications have been accepted for any official SAI educational programmes, i.e. DCP, judging programme, international faculty or a specific teaching programme
  • Individuals who have demonstrated expertise in a particular area of music, sound, expression or showmanship and would provide benefits to the region by attending Regional or International events.

All applications must be received by 1st August in any year for a funding request for the following year.
