We are fun. We are friendly. We are fabulous. We are Sheffield Harmony!
Sheffield Harmony is a group of dynamic women who love to entertain audiences with our versatile, four-part harmony, a cappella singing.
The chorus was founded in 1978 with a group of just nine ladies getting together to sing in one of their kitchens. As of February 2015, we now have around 55 members and our repertoire covers popular classics, barbershop, pop numbers and show tunes. Our ages range from 11 to 91 years old, so age is no barrier.
We’ve been featured in the film Pulp – a film about Life, Death and Supermarkets singing Pulp’s anthemic song Common People. In 2014, we performed as part of the festival to celebrate the Tour de France coming through Yorkshire. There’s never a dull moment!
If you’d like to join us, new members are always welcome. Call Laura on 07837 874431 to arrange to pop along to one of our Monday night rehearsals. We’d love to see you.
