Wonderful memories of Wendy – the Blondies tribute

by | 21 Aug 2020 | Quartet Journey

Blonde Ambition would like to express our love and thanks to everyone who has sent us their condolences and messages of support since Wendy died.

It has been wonderful to share in your memories of our lovely lead as we reflected on our own happy times. We will be forever thankful that we were blessed to have had Wendy in our lives and that we had so many happy years together – so many weekends filled with laughter.

We were so looking forward to spending time with Nicky Salt in France as our prize – we’d even bought the t-shirts, Wendy had made sure of that! But it wasn’t to be.

Filled with laughter, music and prosecco

Anyone who met Wendy will tell you what a kind, caring and joyful person she was – she touched the lives of so many people and had many friends in Sweet Adelines – she knew everybody! We often joked that Wendy could never get from A to B as she had to stop and chat so many times on the way. The Harmony Bazaar was one of her favourite stopping places – shopping and singing under one roof!

We loved our times together – filled with laughter and music, prosecco and song. All those afterglow parties when all we really wanted was to wait until we had an audience tipsy enough to enjoy our gin parodies.

We hope you enjoy the photos of some of our favourite moments over the years, and of our last performance together.

Our best wishes to all the lovely quartets out there – keep having fun – it’s the best part.

Love from The Blondies xxx
