Why Sharon Shirley is Ignite UK’s Unsung Champion
This is what Ignite told us…”Sharon has organised and supervised our chorus apparel for the past 7 years always with good humour, tireless efforts, and never seems to get stressed even when people are not sure of sizes and fits. Ignite certainly wouldn’t look the way we do without her. She has been responsible for all our Chorus on stage and walk out needs. No mean task as it has involved many hours of research and ordering, liaising with designer and maker, getting logos printed, etc. This task is ongoing with departing members, whose costumes need to be sorted and checked, and members who join needing to be guided and fully kitted out. Furthermore, she has very kindly been using her home as a storage facility for spare costumes and materials and is also a willing volunteer of our opening up team.”
