Why Katharine is Singsational’s Unsung Champion
Singsational Chorus told us, Katie has been so upbeat and encouraging to us all since the Chorus lost it’s Director and several members. She is always “half full” not “half empty.
Katie was out of her comfort zone when she was thrown in at the deep end by a suggestion from Nicky Salt, who had been supporting the chorus at a difficult time, that we used members of the chorus to Direct. Katie threw herself into this challenge and has gone over and above to make sure we have a balanced programme each week, She has been paramount in helping to teach new songs even sending out her own teacher tracks where necessary. She has worked hard behind the scenes organising and printing publicity material and is always looking for opportunities to keep the chorus in the public eye, busking being one of them. She will do everything that is asked of her and more.
Katie has been a star in all respects. She has everything, musical knowledge, a willingness to learn and most important of all commitment to the Chorus.
