The Quartet of Nations have a new regional song!

Something Inside So Strong is a song about celebrating an inner awareness, strength and recognition of something inside so strong. The writer, Labi Siffre was inspired by apartheid South Africa and while he was writing it he also realised that he was talking about his inner struggle as a gay man.

The song has been arranged for the Quartet of Nations by Fran Carter of Vocal Dimension Chorus who spoke with Labi Siffre.  He said he appreciates the song has been used by many groups and allies as an anthem of inner strength and resilience.  He also knows that Region 31 will be singing it! Learning tracks have been provided by Helen Warner (music director of Viva Acappella).

At the time of writing, members can obtain the music and tracks from their respective music directors and all Chapter at Large members have been sent an email with the download details.

The new song will be launched on zoom by Virtual Q on Sunday 11 September and zoom details are being shared by email.  The launch will be followed with scheduled section rehearsals so we can all learn the song together as we did Brave.
