Vocal Zone

Formed in late 2001, Vocal Zone has managed to stay together ever since – an important achievement! We have Region 31 quartet medals in several colours, the highest achievement being silver. In 2014, we entered the first ever entertainment category in the regional quartet contest, and were delighted to be chosen as the Audience Choice winners and perform again in the Saturday evening Show of Champions. We write and perform our own shows in the Edinburgh Fringe, and also have a repertoire of Scottish and Burns songs which are sought after for Burns Night corporate events each January. Gwen and Dorothy occasionally swap their baritone and lead parts, and we are mixing things up a bit more at the moment learning a couple of songs where Gwen and Anne are swapping parts in the bass clef – we’re always looking for new challenges and even more fun!

We are available to entertain at private functions, corporate events, or as guests on your shows. We have a wide and eclectic range of repertoire suitable for all kinds of events. We are also available for hire as vocal coaches for quartets and choruses, having a Sweet Adeline Master Director (Gwen) and three others who have completed the Director’s Certification Programme, and together we have over two hundred years of barbershop experience! We can tailor our performances and coaching sessions/day workshops/weekend workshops to whatever you require. And we are happy to travel!
