A message from Team Coordinators –
Welcome to Manchester for our very first joint Convention – a wonderful collaboration between the Quartet of Nations and the Nordic Light Region. Our choruses and quartets are poised to give the performances of their lives this weekend, and they deserve our wholehearted support for their dedication, hard work, and artistry.
We also extend our deep appreciation to our esteemed panel of judges, who have two full and exciting days ahead of them. A very warm welcome to Sandy Marron (Sound), Cydney Wentsel (Music), Lea Beverly (Expression), and our panel chair, Becki Hine (Visual Communication). We are equally delighted to welcome our panel secretary, Cammi McKinlay.
From Sweet Adelines International, we are thrilled to welcome our brand‑new International President, JD Crowe. She is eager to meet as many of you as possible over the weekend, so please do say hello — or hej — when you see her.
We are honoured, too, to welcome our special guests from barbershop organisations across Europe: we are looking forward to renewing our friendship with representatives from BABS, LABBS, IABS, SNOBS and Holland Harmony.
Finally, our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who has contributed to making this weekend possible – and to all of you, whether competing or cheering from the audience : good luck, lycka till, veel geluk!
