Join us for a full day of singing, skill-building, and connection at our exciting new Spotlight workshop! Whether you’re a new member or a seasoned singer, this event is your chance to focus on the fundamentals, sharpen your performance tools, and grow in confidence — all while working on a shared piece of music, Anthem.
What to Expect:
- Vocal Skills in the Barbershop Style: Breath, vowels, tuning, resonance — the essentials to sing with confidence and clarity.
- Bringing Music to Life: Learn how to connect emotionally with a song and engage your audience through storytelling and expression.
- Afternoon Focus Sessions — Choose one of three:
- Goal Setting for Growth: Create your own action plan to improve your singing or ensemble work.
- How to Give a Great PVI: Learn the art of giving supportive, effective vocal instruction (includes live demos).
- Being an Awesome Chorus Member: Practical skills for personal responsibility, ensemble awareness, and performance unity.
This is a brilliant opportunity to reconnect with what you love about singing barbershop — and to learn alongside other passionate members from across the region. There will also be opportunities to get to know other members in the region and for music and management team members to network over lunch.
Bring your own lunch, mug and money for drinks and snacks/cakes.
