Carol as a member of Heartbeat and a long-standing member. Throughout her time with us she has been a steadfast member – a regular and reliable attender, always “on it” with her vocals and certainly keeps us in check on the risers.
With her beautiful musicality and wonderfully rich bass voice she has been an integral part of our renowned bass section and a key contributor to our success. She has also been known to dabble with the odd song in tenor!
Carol is always ready to help others and participate fully in chorus activities, whether they be hard work at rehearsals or fun activities at retreat. She is a past President and secretary of the committee and brought hard work and dedication to those roles. You will also often see Carol on the Heartbeat stall at convention.
She is positive, calm in a crisis, kind, warm, funny, her jokes have us all in stitches. And is always on hand on the risers to remind us if we get a bit ‘stressy’ that it’s only a hobby!
This has been a very difficult year for Carol but her singing has helped her through it, she has attended as many rehearsals as she could, this helped her maintain some sense of normality and gaining strength from the friendship and support of her friends and fellow chorus members. Carol is an inspiration to all of us and we are proud that she is Heartbeat’s nominee as a truly deserving Woman of Note.
