Emma is completely dedicated to our Chorus and committed to her role – she seeks advice to ensure our visual plan is as good as it can be, issues and patiently reissues a huge number of videos, lists and charts to support the Chorus with every aspect of our visual performance. We benefit hugely from Emma’s time, energy and immense passion for barbershop and Sweet Adelines and she truly deserves recognition as our Unsung Champion this year.
Bio
Emma’s professional career has taken her from Edinburgh to south of the border, across the Atlantic and in 2017 back home to Edinburgh. Her singing career began as a child when she spent Saturday mornings rehearsing with the Waverley Singers. Since then she has sung with choruses including Surrey Harmony, Viva Acappella & Vocal Dimension as well as in Quartets Domino, winning Region 31 Gold Medal in 2014 and Element who came 4th in 2017 & 2nd in 2023. Emma sang tenor for 13 years before joining FVC in 2017 as a baritone.
Emma’s performing talents were recognised early in her life and she now shares these abilities with FVC as our Visual Team Leader and spearheading our Creative Team for Columbus. She works tirelessly to create, demonstrate and guide us through the visual plan to prepare the Chorus for Regional and International contests as well as our shows.
