Wendy is like the sunshine, always shining, always warm, always there – no matter what is going on in the world, she shows up every week for her chorus family and radiates her infectious positivity. In her professional life as a paramedic, she demonstrates daily courage, compassion and commitment – all of which are qualities that we benefit from her sharing with our chorus too.
Wendy is also nominated in recognition of her extraordinary resilience, despite facing the devastating illness and loss of her beloved husband, Pete, Wendy has continued to show up with remarkable strength and generosity of spirit. Her presence at rehearsals, even in the most difficult of times, is a testament to her character.
Wendy’s warmth, humour and unwavering positivity lift those around her. She is a constant source of encouragement, particularly to those on the front row, and her ability to support others while navigating her own grief is truly inspiring. She embodies the very best of our community.
Bio
Wendy has been a valued member of the chorus for 12 years, strutting her stuff on the front row and singing as part of the lead section. Known for her warmth, humour and supportive nature, she plays an important role in fostering the positive and encouraging spirit of the chorus.
In her professional life, Wendy works as a senior leader and paramedic in the ambulance service, demonstrating daily compassion, strength and dedication in a role that supports others through some of life’s most challenging moments. She has dedicated her career to supporting the lives of others, and does much of that in her own time too – as a true friend, champion and supporter of everyone around her.
A proud mum to three sons, Wendy spends much of her time on the sidelines enthusiastically cheering them on as they play football to a high standard. Her commitment to her family, her community and her chorus shines through in everything she does, making her a truly valued and admired member of our chorus.
