A lump sum subsidy is awarded to choruses registered with Sweet Adelines International, Quartet of Nations Region 31. The subsidy is given to Sweet Adelines members (including those waiting for confirmation of membership) who are registering to attend the regional convention, and are competing on stage. Please ensure to check the box when purchasing your AET if you are claiming a travel subsidy.
Subsidy is calculated based on the distance of the chorus’ rehearsal venue and the venue for regional convention and the number of registrants from the chorus. See table below for the bands and subsidy amount.

The subsidy can only be claimed with a minimum of 12 registrations. Choruses registering with fewer than 12 members will be applied with the individual subsidy rates and should complete the form by entering and calculating the distance based on the home postcode of each person attending.
The subsidy amount is automatically deducted from the total amount to be paid on the registration form. The chorus subsidy is applied once only on receipt of the first registration.
Additional registrations from the same chorus where no chorus subsidy has been previously applied are eligible for individual subsidy rates but the total individual subsidy awarded is capped to the equivalent chorus subsidy.
Individual subsidy for CAL members (and chorus registrations with fewer than 15 members) is based on the distance between the member’s home address and the venue for Regional Convention. The subsidy is a % off the registration fee as follows. This is applied individually regardless of whether the member competes or not.

Members of prospective choruses and non-members of Quartet of Nations Region 31 are not entitled to the subsidy described above.
Members from other Sweet Adelines International regions are also not eligible to receive the subsidy described above.
